1. Congratulations to Rev. Fr. Thomas Mathilakathu CMI, who has been elected as the President of Conference of Catholic Psychologists of India (CCPI) during its National Conference held in Bhopal from 20-22, September, 2019. He was serving the conference as its secretary and was well appreciated for his service as the secretary. It is the first time that a CMI has been elected as the president of CCPI.
2. Along with the CCPI national conference, the Executive Committee of CMI Psychological Association met in Bhopal. The meeting was chaired by Rev. Fr. Jose Cletus Plackal (President) and the Association decided to evolve a tool to assist in the process of vocation through psychological testing.
3. Rev. Fr. Roby Kannanchira attended the UN ECOSOC meeting and networked effectively with different agencies with regard to Harmony Clubs.
4. Mysore Province organized a death anniversary and commemoration of Rev. Fr. Amatus Kallarackal CMI at Thandavapura on September 29, 2019. Rev. Fr. Prior General was the main celebrant for the Holy Eucharist and gave the homily. Mar Sebastian Adayanthrath, the bishop of Mandya, officiated the final part of the ceremony and gave a message. Rev. Fr. Varghese Kelamparambil, Provincial, Rev. Fr. James Mekkara and Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ayamkudy shared their personal experiences. The commemoration ceremony was well attended by CMI memebrs, religious and priests, the parish community and the relatives of Rev. Fr. Amatus. Congratulations to the Provincial and team for effectively organizing the program.
5. The Quinquennial programme for the junior priests was held at Poornodaya, Bhopal from September 28-29, 2019. Rev. Fr. Varghese Vithayathil, the Vicar General gave the introductory message. The input sessions were given by Rev. Fr. Benny Thettayil. Hearty congratulation to Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheruparambil for organizing the Quinquennial programme at Poornodaya, Bhopal.
6. St. Thomas Province Kozhikode commemorated the Birth centenary of Rev. Fr. Joseph Bartholomew Mazhuvanchery CMI on his 14th death anniversary in Koodathai at 6.30 a m on October 1, 2019.
7. KESS organized a get together of its volunteers who were engaged in supporting the HIV/AIDS and Cancer patients in Chavara Hills on October 2-3, 2019. Shri Kochouseph Chittilappily, CEO, V Guard Industries Ltd, inaugurated the function and gave the key note address. Rev. Fr. Prior General presided over the function. Dr. Antony Gregory, President – CEVA was the special guest. The volunteers were honoured and there was an interactive session with their sharing. Congratulations to Rev. Fr. Joy Vattoly for having organized the program very effectively. Thanks to Chavara Hills community for the support.
8. The Animators’ Training on Lineamenta was held at Chavara Hills on 5-6 October, 2019 for initiating the study in the provinces. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thekkedathu, General Councilor for Education and Media, welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Prior General Inaugurated the session and delivered the message. Rev. Fr. Saju Chackalackal, Rev. Fr. Jose Kuriedath, Provincial, Sacred Heart Province, Kochi Rev. Fr. Benny Mukalel, Provincial, Mar Thoma Province, Chanda, Rev. Fr. Joy Vattoly (Jr) and Rev. Fr. Biju Vellakada were the resource team who presented various themes in Lineamenta. Rev. Fr. Antony Elamthottam, General Councilor for finance expressed the words of gratitude. Members from each province participated in the training and started to initiate the discussions and deliberations in the provinces. Hearty congratulations to Rev. Fr. Saju Chacklackal and team for organizing the Animators’ Training on Lineamenta.
9. Mission Year celebration and Birth Centenary of Late Bishop Mar Jonas Thaliath was held at Chavara Hills from 9.30 a.m. to 1 00 pm. on October 7, 2019. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thekkedathu, General Councilor for Education and Media, welcomed the gathering. Bro. Ceetly George, Fiat Mission, Inaugurated the programme and shared his own experiences in various missions. Rev. Fr. Prior General delivered the presidential address. Rev. Fr. Francis Thonippara and Rev. Fr. Francis Ozhakkal have shared the memories of the person Late Bishop Jonas Thaliath CMI. Rev. Fr. Sony Palathara, Rev. Fr. Biju Vettukallel, Rev. Fr. Anil Mathew Pazhooppallil, Rev. Fr. Jose Kuriedath, Provincial, Sacred Heart Province, Kochi, Rev. Fr. Joshy Pzhukkathara, Provincial, Mary Matha Vice Province, Hyderabad, Rev. Fr. Jose Kallely and Rev. Fr. Josey Thamarassery, Provincial, Nirmal Province, Jagdalpur shared their experiences from different perspectives of various missions and apostolates. Fathers, Brothers and aspirants from many our provinces participated in the programme. Heartfelt Gratitude to Rev. Fr. Saju Chackalackal and team for organizing the event.
10. CMI Iraq missionaries are doing well and getting used to the place and ministry. Rev. Fr. Paul Thymottil is learning both Arabic and Aramaic in St. Peter's Seminary, Erbil and teaching English in the seminary and Mar Qardakh International School, Erbil. Rev. Fr Bibin is in the parish getting engaged in pastoral ministry along with his language studies.
11. Rev. Fr. Prior General has gone for Rome on October 8, 2019 for the canonical visitation of our members and to attend the canonization of Blessed Mariam Thressia and will be back on October 21, 2019.
12. St. Joseph Province, Kottayam organized Missio Ad Gentes, Mission Seminar on Saturday 12 October 2019 at Anugraha Renewal Centre Vazhoor. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Elanjickal, Provincial ingaurated the Mission Seminar. Rev. Fr. Regi Thekkemury deliverd the key note address of the day. As part of the mission Seminar, different programs were arranged for the scholastics and aspirants of the province.
13. The CMI Constitution Retreat of Mary Matha Vice Province, Hyderabad was held from September 29 October 05, 2019. Rev. Fr. Thomas Kochumuttam was the main preacher of the retreat. Rev. Fr. Joshy Pazhukkathara, Provincial, Rev. Fr. Jins Varacheri, Rev. Fr. Rinish Malieckal were the other preachers of the retreat.
14. The CMI Constitution Retreat of St. John’s Province Bijnor was held from October 04-10, 2019. The retreat was preached by Rev. Fr. Antony Njallampuzha and Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuchumuttam.
15. The CMI Constitution Retreat of St. Thomas Province Kozhikode was held from October 07 -12, 2019. Rev. Fr. Joseph Vayalil, Rev. Fr. Thomas Vattakkatt, Rev. Fr. Geroge Kalathil, Rev. Fr. Thomas Thekkel, Provincial were the preachers of the retreat.

? The Quinquennial programme for the junior priests will be held at Chavara Hills, Kakkanad from November 8-10, 2019. All the junior priests who have been ordained from December 2013 to January 2018 shall attend one of the programmes without fail.
? A National Seminar on Mission, titled Mission Ad Gentes at Crossroads on October 19-20, 2019, at Poornodaya, Bhopal. In this CMI Mission Year, as Pope Francis has declared October as the Mission Month, experts, veterans and evangelizers are gathering to reflect on the mission of Jesus undertaken by the Church, especially in India. We need to think loudly of our responses to the challenges of today. Providentially, it is also the Centenary year of the birth of Bp Jonas Thaliath, one of the pioneers in the North Indian Missions.

? Mrs. Rossy Joseph (89) beloved mother of Rev. Fr. Julius Arackal CMI (Devamatha Province, Thrissur) was called to eternal reward on 29 September 2019. The Funeral was on Monday, 30 September 2019 at 3.30 pm at Little Flower Church, Potta.
? Mr. Jose Augustine Attokkaran( 55) beloved father of Rev. Dn. Jebin Jose Attokkaran CMI( Devamatha Province, Thrissur) was called to eternal reward on 05 October 2019. Funeral was on Sunday, 6 October 2019 at 04.00 pm at St. Thomas Forane Church, Ambazhakad, Trissur.
