1.Birth Centenary of late Bishop Jonas Thaliyath was celebrated in Rajkot diocese on November 12, 2019. His Beatitude George Cardinal Mar Alenchery, His Grace Archbishop Thomas Ignatius MacWan, His Grace Most Rev. Stanislaus Fernandes, SJ, were present along with Mar Gregory and Mar Jose Chittooparambil. Rev. Fr. Prior General attended the Holy Qurbana and felicitated the gathering on behalf of CMI congregation.
2. Rev. Fr. Prior General, Rev. Fr. Vicar General and Rev. Fr. Paul Chakkanikunnel attended the funeral of late Rev. Fr. Anto Puthussery CMI, former General Auditor held in Bijnor Provincial house on November 16. Chavara Hills community attended the memorial service at Edad, his home parish on November 18.
3. Pre-Ordination Course for the deacons was held at CSR Pariyaram from November 1 to 23, 2020. They attend the retreat at Sehion Attapady and the final retreat will be held in CSR from December 15-22, 2019. Let us pray for the beloved deacons so that they will prepare well for the ordination to be truly anointed by the Spirit.
4. CMI Constitution Retreat was held at Mar Thoma Province, Chanda from November 24-30, 2019. Rev. Fr. Davis Varayilan guided the retreat and Rev. Frs. Benny Joseph Mukalel & Joshy Pazhukkathara assisted him by sharing a couple of sessions.
5. CMI Constitution Retreat was held at St. Paul Province, Bhopal from November 24-30, 2019. Rev. Fr. Davis Varayilan was the main preacher. Rev. Fr. Francis Aykkaraparmbil and Rev. Fr. Joshy Pazhukkathara were the other preachers.
6. Special Retreat was held for the parents of our deacons to be ordained in December 2019 at Jerusalem Retreat Centre, Thalore from November 15-17, 2019.
7. Meeting of the First Year Aspirants of South India was held at Chavara Hills on November 16, 2019. Rev. Fr. Prior General inaugurated the programme and interacted with the aspirants.
8. Congratulations to Silver Hills School - Kozhikode, Devamatha CMI Public School - Thrissur, Devagiri CMI Public School - Kozhikode, Chirst School – Knajangad for securing top positions in State level CBSE cultural competitions.
9. Silver Jubilee of Chetana Institutions was held at Thrissur with colourful programs, seminar and other socially relevant events. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thekkedathu took part in the celebrations. Congratulations to Chetana team.
10. Rev. Fr. Prior General attended the National Thanksgiving function after the canonization of St. Mariam Thressia in Kuzhikattussery on November 16, 2019. He also felicitated the Congregation of Sisters of Charity during the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in Kolazhy and appreciated their cooperation in our mission in different places in India and Africa.
11. The Discussions on Lineamenta and the annual gathering of the members of the common houses directly under Rev. Fr. Prior General were held on November 28 and 29, 2019 at Chavara Hills, Kakkanad.
12. Inauguration of integrated rural community development project (a joint project of CEVA and CSA, Christ University) was held at Niravilpuzha on December 02, 2019.
13. Hearty congratulations to Rev. Fr. Joice Elavathingal, Who successfully completed his Doctoral studies from St. Joseph College, Thiruchirappalli on the theme “Electro Catalytic oxidation of Alkyl Aromatics using platinum and carbon supported platinum electodes.”

? Rev. Fr. Thomas Thayil CMI (73), (St. Joseph Province, Thiruvananthapuram) was called to eternal reward on 23 November 2019. Having served as prior at Gagultha Monastery, Champakulam and Superior at Immaculate Conception Ashram, Muttar, he influenced so many people spiritually. As a man of intense prayer and fraternal care, he was a model religious in the CMI Congregation. The funeral was on Tuesday, 26 November 2019 at 10. 00 am at Gagultha Monastery, Champakulam.
? Rev. Fr. Jose Thadavanal CMI (70) (St. Joseph Province, Kottayam) was called to eternal reward on Saturday, 30 November 2019. The mortal remains of Rev. Fr. Jose Thadavanal CMI will be brought to Little Flower Monastery, Poonjar on Wednesday, 04 December 2019 at 08.30 am and the funeral ceremony will begin at 02.00 pm.
