Rev. Fr. John Peter Muringathery, who was on treatment by staying at Preshitharam, Mannuthy, had developed some difficulties and was shifted to Amala Hospital immediately after, but he had a cardiac arrest and was called to eternity by 1:45 pm, Thursday, 4 January 2024. Funeral will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, 6 January 2024, at Bharathamatha Ashram, Palakkad.
Mortal remains of Fr. John Peter will be placed at Preshitharam, Mannuthy, in the morning till 9:30 am on Saturday, 6 January; those who wish to pay him last respects and to offer prayers could come to Preshitharam. Thereafter, at 9:30 am the body will be shifted to Bharathamatha Ashram, Palakkad, where the funeral ceremony will begin at 2:30 pm.
